NanoSonic’s flexible lighting arrays are portable, lightweight and provide more lumens of light energy for reduced electrical power input requirements – similar to LEDS – than standard incandescent light bulbs. These flexible arrays can be used for portable or permanent applications, and the colors can be changed to adapt to a variety of circumstances. These arrays are also fairly immune to external conditions.
The lighting arrays are rollable and can be stored in smaller spaces than other lighting systems. Because of their flexibility, these LED arrays can be positioned as omnidirectional lighting in a variety of circumstances.
Due to low power requirements, these arrays use smaller, lighter-weight battery packs that also take up less space. NanoSonic’s arrays are safer from electrical shock as they use only low voltage electric power, as opposed to conventional lighting that uses 120V AC. They have a visibility range of approximately 25 km now, and are visible in daylight or darkness.
Our arrays are also fairly immune to weather conditions. The arrays are made of durable base materials and the lights themselves have a lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours or about 14 years if used ten hours per day, depending on conditions, lasting slightly less in extremely hot environments.
NanoSonic’s facilities include a roll-to-roll sheet material production system. This large-platen (4’x8’) CAD-driven fabric/sheet cutter for large-area fabric-type processing allows us to create large samples for testing of these lighting arrays.
