Giles County, Virginia

NanoSonic was the first industrial tenant in the new Wheatland EcoPark in eastern Giles County, Virginia. Resting quietly in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia, with an area of about 363 square miles and a population of around 16,000, Giles County offers a relaxed small-town atmosphere. NanoSonic’s R&D and manufacturing facilities bring high-tech to this rural area where we are a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Virginia Tech

NanoSonic grew out of and continues to partner with the largest university in Virginia – Virginia Tech, a school that is committed to green technologies and energy efficiency, especially in the Colleges of Science and Engineering. Many of our staff are former students, faculty or staff, and our facilities are located about ten miles west of the main Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia. We maintain unique ties to the university by giving lectures, taking post-graduate classes, and participating in campus activities.
