Education

Nanotechnology is a relatively new field having been around for only a half century or so. Polymer chemistry - researched since the 1700s - didn’t really take off as an industry until the 1930s when neoprene was invented. And environmental issues are especially newsworthy today, but not always understood.

At NanoSonic we recognize that part of our responsibility is to help people understand what we do, including how we make new materials, and how we do it in an environmentally-friendly way. If we can impart a little knowledge, we believe students will bring their own special talents and passion to science and technology, where they can innovate in a rapidly-evolving world. Our company practices and shows how corporate sustainability succeeds by bringing economic and ecological sustainability to a local community level.

Our educational efforts include offering an annual scholarship to a high school student, teaching programs at schools, tours of our green building and laboratories, teaching kits for schools, as well as additional online resources to help you understand the complexities of what we do.
